Orville Peck with special guest Gold Star to perform live in concert at Rock the Ruins at Holliday Park in Indianapolis on Thursday, August 3, 2023!

Orville Peck is a country recording artist and songwriter known for his deep baritone voice, strong musicianship and songs that are sincere yet bold in their storytelling. Never confirming his identity, Orville, who is openly gay and lived an itinerant life, is never seen without his signature, fringed mask. Following the release of his self-produced debut album Pony in 2019, Orville signed with Columbia Records and released his Show Pony EP. Released to immediate critical acclaim in 2020, the EP features a duet with global icon Shania Twain and puts Orville’s triumphant songwriting skills and intentional craftsmanship on full display. Orville, known for his unique personal style, has collaborated with many fashion brands including but not limited to Beyoncé’s Ivy Park, Dior, Michael KORS and Pamela Love amongst others. When Orville is not performing or touring, he lends his time to activism and the causes he is committed to.

Don’t miss this live event in Indianapolis! Put this concert at the top of your “things to do in Indianapolis” list this summer.

Gold Star
Vienna-born and LA-based, Marlon Rabenreither, nom de plume Gold Star, has established himself as one of the most gifted songwriters of the LA underground music scene. On albums such as Big Blue and Uppers & Downers, Rabenreither’s lovelorn lyricism and languid melodic sensibility brings forth a weathered strain of Americana that feels both timeless and uniquely his own. Catching the attention of numerous Indie music titans with his discography, Rabenreither has since collaborated and toured with artists the likes of Mazzy Star, Lucinda Williams, Phoebe Bridgers, the Black Lips, and Stephen Malkmus.

About Rock the Ruins

Rock the Ruins is a summer concert series hosted by The Vogue at Holliday Park, an enchanting 95-year old park nestled in a gently wooded neighborhood just six miles north of downtown Indianapolis. Perfect for experiencing live music, catching up with neighbors and friends, and connecting with nature, a Rock the Ruins concert is the ideal spot to spend a summer evening. We encourage our all-ages guests to bring chairs/blankets for all Rock the Ruins shows as seating will not be provided for general admission guests. No outside coolers or alcoholic beverages will be permitted in the park as guests will be encouraged to take advantage of a variety of local and artisan vendors selling food and beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic). Guests must present a valid ID (and be 21+) to purchase alcoholic beverages while on-site for any Rock the Ruins event at Holliday Park.
